DRY BRUSHING HOW TO AND WHY
DRY BRUSHING IS THE JUICE CLEANSE OF THE BEAUTY WORLD.
Dry Brushing is one of those things that I’ve been doing since I was in my 20’s, something which I just assumed everyone did! But, much to my surprise, not many people do. It’s both beneficial to men and women.
Dry brushing is the juice cleanse of the beauty world. It’s part of my routine when I’m getting ready to hop in the shower. It is also one of those rare things that feels just as good when you do it yourself vs going to a spa and having it done.
It is incredibly easy to add into your daily routine. Experts recommend dry brushing in the morning, rather than before bed, because of its energizing qualities, but I just keep to the rule of doing it before a shower or bath.
HOW TO DRY BRUSH YOUR BODY
To do it yourself, start at your feet and brush upward towards the heart. Similarly, when you start on your arms, begin at the hands and work your way up, again toward the heart.
Use firm, small strokes, or work in a circular motion. For the stomach, brush in a circular, counter clockwise pattern. This is my favorite area to brush!
Harsh exfoliation is never the point, so make sure not to exert too much pressure. Skin should be pinkish…not red.
Then be sure to apply a yummy lotion afterwards, to put moisture back into your skin.
WHY YOU SHOULD START DRY BODY BRUSHING
Experts claim that dry brushing reduces cellulite, removes dead skin, improves skin appearance, and gently invigorates the lymph nodes.
Lymphatic stimulation will boost circulation, which we all need more of to feel our best, and to get rid of nasty toxins our bodies like to hold onto.
Icebox carries a brush that fits easily in your hand, which helps in managing and applying the right amount of pressure.
Your skin is your largest organ, and this is one simple step you can add to your routine to greatly improve its health and appearance.
Try it for 30 days! Worst case scenario? You are left with radiantly smooth skin.
